Education Assistance Programme Humanitarian Aid

In February 2020 EGG-Tanzania and IHH provided bicycles to fifty students of Kizimkazi Dimbani School in Zanzibar, the first time the project reached the islands.

In February 2020, Education Gauge for Growth Tanzania (EGG-Tanzania) together with the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation of Turkey provided fifty students of Kizimkazi Dimbani School in Zanzibar with a means of transport to and from school.

During the presentation, donors from Kuwait together with a senior IHH officer observed the handing over of the bicycles to deserving students. Thirty-two female students and twenty-eight boys, from primary to secondary level, received bicycles.

The Bicycle Project aims to help students who live far from school and whose families cannot support their transport. This was the first time the project was implemented in the islands of Zanzibar; students in Mbelekese village, Singida region, had already received bicycles under the project in 2019.
