EGG-Tanzania assesses the three major stakeholders in Tanzanian education, the Government, the Private Sector and the Third Sector, on how they plan, resource and deliver education. Each is evaluated through a dedicated score: the G-score for government institutions, the P-score for private institutions and the T-score for third-sector organisations.

Assessment looks at strategic and evidence-based plans, job designs and the allocation of quality materials, operational systems and structures, and the optimal use of financial and human resources. The findings become the foundation for our intervention, accreditation and policy influence work.

What this includes

  • Government sector assessment (G-score)
  • Private sector assessment (P-score)
  • Third sector assessment (T-score)
  • Review of strategic and evidence-based plans
  • Audits of operational systems, structures and resources

Our assumption

There was a need for an alternative, professional and independent education assessment entity, particularly in assessing best education sector practices in areas of strategic and evidence-based plans, job designs and allocation of quality materials, operation systems and structures, and optimum financial and quality human resources in government, private and third sectors.
