Funded by IHH, three deep water wells with 20,000-litre tanks will serve over ten thousand villagers of Mbelekese, Mwanduigembe and Iporyo in Iramba and Singida Rural districts.
Construction of three deep water wells has started under funding from the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation of Turkey. The project will benefit over ten thousand villagers of Mbelekese, Mwanduigembe and Iporyo villages in Iramba and Singida Rural districts.
The water wells will be fitted with 20,000-litre water tanks set on 7.5-metre concrete towers. Water pipes will be laid around the villages, and each village will have no fewer than ten distribution points.
Distribution points will target primary and secondary schools, dispensaries, religious institutions, village administration offices and common public places for security and easy management of the project. It was expected to be completed in August 2020 for official opening and handing over to the village and district administrations.
